Was he supposed to take her seriously? What was she, a child? No, even if she were a child, she’d still be a special case. Most children feared him and flinched at any mention of his name. This young lady…appeared to have no idea about who he was, or what he had done on the battlefield. She may have called him “scary looking,” but that was better than her trying to run away and not talk to him completely. Her oblivion didn’t disappoint him at all, actually. It gave him the chance to start anew and give a better first impression than the one that many already had of him, without even having to see him in person.

“We are scary looking? Perhaps we are ferocious and adamant on the battlefield, but not all of us have intimidating exteriors.” He didn’t even have to search in his head to quickly find an example. “You have never met General Xiahou Yuan before, I would assume, but he is quite a conversationalist. And his son is just as friendly and outgoing as he is.” He crossed his arms and lowered his head. “There is also General Zhang He. He is …unique, as we sometimes call him.Confident in who he is, anyway. But he doesn’t seem like the type that others would find scary. Just…different.”

Even though it wasn’t an official title, some could consider Xiaoqiao a princess. Not that she was a royal, but because of her personality and lifestyle. She had hand-crafted clothing made with the most expensive silks, servants to tend to her every need, and was used to things being handed to her rather than having to work for them. Because of this treatment, she grew to be impatient and - more relevantly - completely oblivious to the world outside of her own. This was why a lot of famous warriors skipped her mind most of the time, only really recognizing those who were from Wu.

She listened to the other, shrugging at both names until a little memory sparked in her mind. “Oh! Hey, no, I know Xiahou Yuan!” She nodded, remembering the cheery man. “I helped him fight off bandits that were attacking poor panda bears,” she said triumphantly, placing both her hands on her sides as if taking up some kind of pose.

“We really beat them up,” she told Zhang Liao. She was passionate about saving animals, even more-so than saving people at times. If someone was picking on something smaller than them, then they should be showed their place! Stupid bullies!
