The man blinked a couple of time with a surprised look on his face, yet he was rather used of that kind of behavior from the stubborn. A tender smile quickly replaced that surprise as he chuckled slightly. “Alright, but I really hope you have been doing something more interesting. My day has been really boring.” He walked over the desk, adjusting some scrolls properly. “It was almost filled only about strategies, as you can probably imagine already.”
“… Are you going into battle again?” The thought of it struck her heart. As much confidence she had in her husband, the chaos was terrifying, and for him to be thrown into it again and again… it didn’t ease any of her tensions.
It was an assumption, however, and she hoped it was a wrong one. If not… “If you are, I’m coming with you!” It was decided. There was no going back on that statement, and that was a promise.
