On Neutral Ground

mightofazure:

When the Cao seems to be the most problematic family to others, There was another problem that they couldn’t fix and it was.. Themselves. Ziwen wanted to be himself, But war always affected the house of the Ruling Clan of Wei drastically. Either it be to the point they won’t smile or see good. But there was a hidden fear with Cao Zhang, Betrayal among each other in the clan. A fate he would be disappointed to live in.

Then again Wu wasn’t the best for a Cao or even apart of Wei. Chi Bi, The Red Cliffs.. Everyone that participated a winning battle for Wei ended up becoming the sorest of losers afterwards, How was a small force able to counter almost the entire land, A force that kept silent and played pacifist, and the other a loser excuse of a kingdom that does more running and heading into a cross fire or two chanting virtue. To think Wei would stoop this bad in closed doors, A epitome of the line between wingmen of one cause verses a regime with each other was brewing. Wu didn’t need to get involved, But Wei did need a good start.

“War is war. It’s how our favorite politicians negotiate. It’s how things are done after all, We have one side and the other and now there is three. Three powerful figures wants the whole pie and not a slice..” He was rather deep about conflicts, He wasn’t a scholar but he took what he wanted to take, That was smart in his way. “There is two faces to War, You either claim it for a good cause to save as much as you can, or you make it to get your point of views set. It’s not a pretty world but it is a world, Without it we have nothing. There is almost no such thing as good and bad it’s all about taking and forcing change. Change is a great thing but the methods aren’t always appealing. But that’s why I shoulder the methods. So my army gets back home to their families.”

Xiaoqiao listened intently to what the other was saying. She was trying to grasp his words, and the concept within them. It was true; war was war. There wasn’t anything that could change that. The commoners, and even the officials, all called for peace. But peace couldn’t be held until there was a victor. What would happen if the victor passed away? It would just cause more war. Really, it never ended. It just continued on a cycle, because that was how the world had to work. It was all mumbo-jumbo to her anyway. She didn’t like to think about the realities of the world, because it always turned out more depressing than she’d like. She was a happy girl, and she’d like to stay that way. As far as fighting went, she would just protect who she chose to and hope it would cause another break in the world’s spiral.

The other reminded her of Zhou Yu, with the way his words smoothed out over each other. Of course, her Lord had a certain soothing tone to him that more or less kept her level-headed when she needed to be. In her opinion, this Cao’s voice was too strong. Too loud. Too much like Cao Cao.

“Yeah, that’s all they want, to get home to their families…” she trailed off, her eyes gazing over to where the people were, farming and trading as if nothing else mattered. Xiaoqiao was like that most of the time. But even though she liked to stay carefree, she was still responsible for some things. Truthfully, her concern was never solely on the people of Wu. She just knew that Zhou Yu was always busy or fighting… The wives of the men in war must feel the same as her. She pitied them, as it was something that, for once, she could relate to. “So! I could show you around,” she said with a smile, lacing her fingers together behind her back. “I want to keep an eye on you,” she told him, her gaze falling on the male once more.
